What is PM Awas Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a flagship government scheme launched in 2015 with the mission of "Housing for All". It provides affordable housing and interest subsidy on home loans to economically weaker sections (EWS), low-income groups (LIG), and middle-income groups (MIG).

PMAY Subsidy Details (CLSS)
The Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) provides interest subsidy on home loans:
- EWS/LIG: 6.5% subsidy on loan up to ₹6 lakh for 20 years → saves up to ₹2.67 lakh
- MIG-I: 4% subsidy on loan up to ₹9 lakh for 20 years → saves up to ₹2.35 lakh
- MIG-II: 3% subsidy on loan up to ₹12 lakh for 20 years → saves up to ₹2.30 lakh
- Subsidy is credited to the loan account, reducing EMI amount

Go to pmaymis.gov.in → Click "Citizen Assessment" → Select your component.
Enter Aadhaar Number
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and verify. Aadhaar is mandatory for PMAY application.
Fill Application Form
Fill personal details, income information, family details, and property requirements.
Upload Documents
Upload income certificate, Aadhaar, address proof, and any existing property documents.
Submit & Track
Submit the application and note the Assessment ID for tracking. Application is verified by ULB/Municipal body.

PMAY Gramin (Rural Housing)
For rural areas, PMAY-Gramin provides:

- Beneficiaries selected via SECC data and Gram Sabha verification
